NYX Butter Gloss, Angel Food Cake : Review & Swatches

After loving Red Velvet, I had to invest in some other variants of the NYX Butter Gloss. A quick search and I picked Angel Food Cake. (you have to give it to NYX for such delectable names!) Read on to see how it looks!
The Butter Glosses come in coloured plastic bodies with a screw-on cap. The doe-foot applicator picks up sufficient product to apply a light layer. The tube can be easily carried in your handbag to reapply through the day.
The texture of these glosses is slightly thick, but not tacky, just enough to help the gloss stay put for around two hours, once applied. It is hydrating and feels super comfortable on the lips. Plus the gloss has a super yummy caramel-like fragrance.
Angel Food Cake is a rosy mid-toned pink-mauve colour that will suit almost all skin tones. It is perfect for that everyday pink lip. I have been reaching out to this one almost every day for the past few weeks. Let's just agree that this one is that perfect pink shall we?
It is quite close to Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gloss in Mirrored Mauve, with the latter having more mauve undertones to it and Angel food Cake being slightly more on the pink side.

I am in love with Angel Food Cake. I love how effortless it is to use, how it goes with just about everything and how it is the perfect pink lip gloss. These NYX Butter Glosses are strangely quite addictive...I need to stop myself from hoarding more for a while now!
